Happy Summer, friends! Believe it or not, Independence Day is right around the corner and with it comes several fun-filled and festive fireworks shows across both Oakland and Macomb County. To help you prepare and plan, we’ve put together a list of some of the best shows and festivals our surrounding communities have to offer. We hope you and your family have an amazing time celebrating the annual celebration of our nationhood!
Macomb County
New Baltimore 57th Annual Bay-Rama Fireworks Show
Walter & Mary Burke Park | 36300 Front St. New Baltimore, MI
Thursday, June 23rd, 10 p.m.
Come check out the Bay-Rama fireworks, happening during the Bay-Rama Fishfly Festival which runs June 22nd-26th. Get there early to secure your spot and enjoy live entertainment from the Meldrum Brothers Band.
St. Clair Shores Fireworks Extravaganza
St. Clair Shores Veterans’ Memorial Park | 32400 Jefferson Avenue, St. Clair Shores, MI
Friday, June 24th, 9:00 p.m.
Wristbands can be purchased in advance at the Civic Ice Arena. The cost in advance is $3 for residents and $5 for non-residents, and the cost at the gate is $5 for all. Parking passes are available in advance for $10. Food trucks will also be on-site.
Shelby Twp. Independence Day Fireworks
Stony Creek MetroPark | Washington, MI
Friday, June 24th, 10 p.m.
The Shelby Township Independence Day Fireworks show has moved to Stony Creek this year, and is one of the largest shows in Michigan! Walking or biking into Stony Creek is free, daily vehicle passes are $10 per vehicle.
Mt. Clemens Independence Day Celebration
Downtown Mt.Clemens, MI
Friday, June 24th, 7:30 p.m.
The Riversight & Sound Concert starts at 7:30 p.m. followed by fireworks at dusk on the riverfront. Boat wells are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Sterlingfest Fireworks at Dodge Park
Dodge Park | 40620 Utica Rd. Sterling Heights, MI
Thursday, June 28th, 9:30 p.m.
Fireworks close the first night of Sterlingfest, which is a 4-day festival featuring concerts, food vendors, an arts and crafts fair, carnival midway, and more.
Oakland County
Wixom Lite the Night Fireworks
Sibley Park | 48900 Pontiac Trail, Wixom, MI
Thursday, June 23rd, 6-10 p.m.
Fireworks begin at dusk at Sibley Park and are hosted annually by the CIty of Wixom.
Walled Lake Fireworks
Downtown Walled Lake, MI
Saturday, June 25th, 10 p.m.
Walled Lake’s Annual Market Day on East Lake Drive and Mercer Beach is during the day. Come early to shop local vendors and enjoy a day of live entertainment and food all alongside the lake. Fireworks follow at 10p. Note: The best recommended views are from Downtown Walled Lake or Pavilion Park and Lake Shore Park in Novi.
Lake Orion’s Lions Club Jubilee FIreworks
Green’s Park | 66 S. Park Blvd. Orion Twp., MI
Saturday, June 25th, 10 p.m.
The Lake Orion Lions Club hosts the annual Jubilee Carnival every June in Downtown Lake Orion. The annual celebration features carnival midway rides, games, live entertainment, fireworks on Saturday night, a beer tent, and more.
Madison Heights Festival in the Park
Civic Center Park | 360 W. 13 Mile Rd. Madison Heights, MI
Sunday, June 26th, 10 p.m.
The City of Madison Heights will host fireworks, live music, food vendors, fun for the kids, and more!
Rochester Hills Festival of the Hills Fireworks

Wednesday, June 29th, 6 p.m.
Come enjoy family fun, live entertainment, and fireworks starting at 10 p.m
Clawson 4th of July Fireworks
City Park | Clawson, MI
Monday, July 4th, 9 p.m.
Capping off a fun-filled day of events, including a parade, food trucks, and arts & crafts fair, the fireworks will begin at approximately 10 p.m.
Oakland County Fair Fireworks
Springfield Oaks County Park | 12451 Andersonville Rd. Davisburg, MI
Friday, July 8th, 10 p.m.
Come enjoy the Oakland County Fair’s Opening Day Fireworks, featuring the Grant Reiff Band.
